These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Sued Yesterday service (the "Service"), an information and lead-intelligence service for law firms and legal professionals practising in Australia. Sued Yesterday is an Australia-wide service owned and operated by UConnect (International) Pty Ltd (ACN 159 803 611, ABN 38 159 803 611) ("Sued Yesterday", "we", "us", "our"). By subscribing to, accessing, or using the Service, you ("Subscriber", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms.

1.The Service

Sued Yesterday compiles, classifies and enriches publicly available information relating to new proceedings filed against companies in the Federal Court of Australia, across all state and territory registries, including but not limited to court filings, file numbers, market classification (Insolvency, Tax, Employment, Commercial), and related public register data (such as ABN/GST status). The Service is delivered as a daily briefing and does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind. Sued Yesterday does not knowingly publish any matter that is subject to a suppression order, non-publication order, or that is otherwise sealed or restricted from publication. Where we become aware that a published matter is subject to such a restriction, we will remove it promptly on notice.

2.No Advice, No Guarantee

All information provided is sourced from public records at a point in time and is provided "as is". Sued Yesterday does not verify the accuracy, completeness, or currency of underlying court or register data beyond what is published by the relevant public authority, and makes no warranty as to the outcome of any proceeding, the merits or liability of any party referenced, or the availability, willingness, or suitability of any company as a client. You must independently verify any information before relying on it commercially or legally.

3.Founders Intake & Seat Allocation

Where the Service is offered under a "Founders Intake" or segment-limited arrangement (including the representation of a limited number of seats per market, per state or territory, across Australia), seat availability is allocated on a first-come basis at Sued Yesterday's sole discretion. Sued Yesterday reserves the right to amend, expand, or discontinue segment-based seat limits, founders pricing, or the composition of markets at any time, including for existing Subscribers on reasonable notice.

4.Free Trial

Where a free trial period is offered (including a free first edition or first week of the Service), no payment card is required to activate the trial unless otherwise stated at signup. Continuation into a paid subscription after any trial period requires your affirmative action or agreement to pricing then in effect, as communicated to you.

5.Fees & Payment

Subscription fees are charged monthly in advance at the rate confirmed to you at signup. Founders pricing, where applicable, is locked for the period stated at the time of your subscription and may revert to the then-current general release price thereafter, on notice. All fees are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. Failure to pay fees when due may result in suspension or termination of access to the Service.

6.Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by notifying Sued Yesterday. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise agreed. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods except where required by law.

7.Acceptable Use

The Service is licensed to you for internal business use in the ordinary course of your professional practice. You must not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or systematically republish the Service's compiled or enriched content to third parties without Sued Yesterday's prior written consent. You must not use the Service in a manner that harasses, misleads, or unlawfully solicits any individual or company referenced in the Service.

8.Intellectual Property

While underlying court and register data is public record, the compilation, classification, enrichment, formatting, and presentation of that data by Sued Yesterday is proprietary and protected by copyright and database rights. You may not scrape, reproduce, or create derivative products from the Service without prior written consent.

9.Corrections & Removal Requests

Sued Yesterday compiles information from public court and business registers. If a company or individual referenced in the Service believes information about them is inaccurate, out of date, or should not have been published (for example, a matter that has been discontinued, settled, sealed, or is subject to a court order), they may request correction or removal by emailing hello@suedyesterday.com. We will review each request promptly and, where appropriate, correct the record in the next edition or remove the entry.

10.Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sued Yesterday excludes all liability for any loss or damage (including indirect, consequential, or economic loss) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes any guarantee, warranty, or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

11.Changes to the Service or Terms

Sued Yesterday may update these Terms or the features of the Service from time to time. Material changes will be notified to active Subscribers by email. Continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
